We’ve put together answers to the top questions we believe to be helpful to our members as they consider registration for this year’s Virtual Annual Meeting.
What is the cost of the virtual meeting?
- Non-Physician Member of AAFCP $200
- Non-Physician Non-Member of AAFCP $275
- Non-Physician VOTING Member of AAFCP $150 (includes $50 discount)
- Physician Member of AAFCP $250
- Physician Non-Member of AAFCP $300
- Physician VOTING Member of AAFCP $200 (includes $50 discount)
- Nursing/Medical Student $25 (includes $250 scholarship)
When is the registration deadline?
Registration closed July 1. Late registration will be allowed July 1-15 for an additional $25. No registrations will be accepted after July 15, 2021.
Do I have to register online?
Online registration is the quickest way to register but anyone can register via postal mail using the Registration Brochure. This may be useful for those registering through their employer.
Can I still receive CME or CEU credits by attending the virtual meeting?
Yes! We are excited to announce that this year’s Virtual Annual Meeting will offer 18 credits for doctors, nurses, and AAFCP members. Educators may receive one additional credit. To receive credit, you will be required to login for each talk and be present during the live Q&A sessions.
Do I have to be available to watch the whole conference live?
No. Registrants will have access to recordings of the talks for six months following the Annual Meeting within the virtual platform.
Will recordings of the presentations still be available for purchase?
Yes, the audio downloads will be available for purchase through the Academy store after the Annual Meeting.
Is the Sponsor Message Campaign still available?
Yes, you may still solicit or submit sponsor messages to be included in the digital program book. Check out our Sponsor Message Campaign for details. Please note the absolute deadline is May 1, 2021.
Will the conference still have exhibitors?
Yes! We have options for virtual Exhibitors! The deadline to participate in this is July 15, 2021.
Is the Saturday only registration still available for medical/nursing students and others?
No, due to the virtual format we have eliminated the one-day registration. However, we are pleased to announce that we a reduced registration rate for nursing and medical students to attend the FULL conference! This is made possible by the generous donations of those who support our Nursing/Medical Student Scholarship Fund.
Will there be a Business Meeting and Elections?
Yes, our Business Meeting will take place in two parts over the course of the Annual Meeting. The Nominating Committee has been working diligently to provide the opportunity of electronic voting prior to and during the Business Meeting. Voting Members may review the candidates and vote by logging into the Member Portal beginning May 1, 2021.
Do I have to be registered for the Annual Meeting virtual conference to attend the Business Meeting?
No, the virtual format will allow all members of the Academy to attend just the Business Meeting portions of the Annual Meeting free of charge. All members will receive an invitation to the Business Meeting as the date approaches.
What about the networking that takes place at the Annual Meetings?
Our virtual platform provides the opportunity for a variety of chat rooms, discussion boards, and even contests for attendees. We have many fun and beneficial ways for our members to interact with one another, and our exhibitors and speakers, during the virtual Annual Meeting.
Will we ever meet in person again?
Yes! We are looking forward to joining Joanne Mercer and her team in St. Louis for the 41st Annual Meeting of the AAFCP in 2022.
