Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who can join AAFCP?

Membership in the AAFCP is open to everyone who adheres to our Code of Ethics. Whether you are a physician, nurse, FertilityCare practitioner, clergy, or just a supporter of FertilityCare services, we welcome your support and membership.

  • Is membership required?

For the FertilityCare service provider, membership is not required but is highly recommended as your membership shows a level of commitment to continued personal growth to your clients, patients, and community.

  • Can I be a Voting Member?

Voting members of the AAFCP are Certified FertilityCare service providers (CFCMC, CFCP, CFCNP, CFCE, etc.). They have first completed an accredited FertilityCare education program and worked as qualified FertilityCare providers for at least one year. Once requirements are met and within three years of their education program completion, to become certified, the provider then must go through a review process. FertilityCare Medical Consultants are certified through case study and an additional certification exam. FertilityCare Practitioners are certified through an application and case selection and review process. This certification must be renewed every four to seven years to ensure the highest quality care and includes continuing education requirements.

  • Who can be an Associate member?

Associate membership is a catch-all category for our organization. Associate members can be Certified FertilityCare providers, or qualified FertilityCare providers who are working toward certification after completion of their education programs. Associate members can also be anyone who supports the work of pro-life women’s healthcare. These are often members of the clergy, users of FertilityCare services, marriage and family ministers, or family and spouses of FertilityCare providers. Anyone can be an associate member as long as they agree to our Code of Ethics.

  • How can I become a Student member?

Student membership is only open to students who are currently enrolled in an AAFCP accredited education program or awaiting results of their final exam. Student membership is FREE for the first year! Once the student has received notice they have passed their final examination, the program director or student should notify the VP for Membership that they are no longer a student.
